What is a podcast?

The “podcast”, the combination words of “iPod” and “broadcast”, is the collections of digital media files that we can subscribe, and download automatically from internet when the new contents is added. In other words, the “podcast”, the method of publishing files to the Internet, allows users to subscribe to a feed and receive the new files automatically by subscription, such as RSS (Really Simple Syndication) and Atom (Atom Syndication Format).
